Get Your Life Together - Rhythms & Routines

If you’ve been around for any amount of time, you know that I am a big believer in routines and rhythms, and not so much strict schedules. Rather than be driven by the clock, I prefer our day to follow a sensical flow - if this, then that. And it’s always a good time to evaluate your current rhythms and routines, and how they’re working for you.

Cleaning Routines

Listen, most of us don’t really love cleaning, but it’s an important part of day-to-day. Take a look at your routines, your daily checklists, what your kids are expected to do (remember, they’re so capable of helping, even at a young age!) - and find areas where you can switch things up to better serve you and your family. Check out my cleaning checklists and chore charts for help organizing your cleaning routine!

School Routines

Whether you homeschool or your kids go to public/private school, you can evaluate your rhythms surrounding school. Homework routines, before and after school, or how and when you do school during the day at home - it’s always valuable to audit how these things are working for you and your kids!

Movement Routines

Whether you go to the gym, do workouts at home, take walks with your kids, or do farm chores, moving your body is good and necessary! Take the time to go over what you are currently doing (or not doing) and make any necessary changes.

Mealtime Routines

Feeding these people three (or more!) times a day - it feels like a full time job! Taking the time to meal plan will save your sanity, and likely your bank account. I have a meal planning guide that can help you with each step of this routine if you need help figuring it out!

I’m certain there are more areas of your life you may want to evaluate your rhythms and routines, but these are a few simple, impactful places to start. What are you going to be re-evaluating today?

xoxo,

Angie
