You've Got This

The following blog post is pulled from last week’s Wednesday newsletter - I don’t think I’ve ever had as many responses as I did on this particular email! And you know what that tells me? That you needed to hear it. And because we don’t gatekeep good things, I’m sharing it here on the blog today.

Life can be overwhelming sometimes - kids, work, chores, finances, friendships - and it’s easy to feel like you don’t have the strength to face another day of the same struggles.

My friend, I want you to know that you are capable, and that so far your track record for making it through is 100%.  It hasn't been easy, I know. But you've done it before, you can do it again.

The first thing I want you to do today is to take a deep breath and focus on the present moment. You can’t control the future, but you can control your actions right now. So take a moment to pause and think about what's right in front of you. Where does your focus need to be right now?

And then do that thing. Make the call, send the email, snuggle the kid, prepare the meal.

One thing at a time, friend. One thing at a time.

 ……

Life is full of ups and downs. You won’t always feel overwhelmed, you won't always feel worried, or stressed. Things do get better.

And my friend, don’t underestimate the power of asking for help. Reach out to friends, family, and maybe even a professional if you need more support, more help, or just an ear. You aren't alone, even though it may feel that way sometimes.

You've got this, darlin'.

It’s true. I wouldn’t say it if it weren’t. You’ve got this. You know, deep down, what you need. Do it. Ask for it. And be proud of yourself.

xoxo,

Angie
